Three eggs in a row
Three eggs in a row by Helen in Wales
Three eggs in a row, a photo by Helen in Wales on Flickr.

22/52 for the group T189ers Photo-a-week.

This week's theme was: Three in a row.

A bit stuck for time this week due to dissertation deadline, but I just happened to have three eggs left. :)

Hmm, I still find it weirdly futuristic that we print sell-by dates onto our eggs. What would generations past have thought. :)

I don't know. Of course we used to have little lions on the eggs many years ago, but that was to indicate that they were genuinely British. No dates though in those days.

What a wonderful yellow egg box. That's enough toi make you really cheerful in the morning over a boiled egg.

Our egg boxes are usually a rather boring grey or green.

Most of the other eggs come in boring grey or green, but I usually buy these, not because the box is yellow, but they're mid-range in price and taste nice.

I truly enjoy pictures like this; the Common things in life.

Thanks. It is fun to photograph things that one wouldn't normally think to photograph, but if I wasn't doing the group challenges, I wouldn't do them.

That's a great shot. I like the colours and the way the texture on the cartoon matches that on the egg shell. I've never noticed that before.

I love the yellow. I wonder why we don't have more color in egg boxes here? (White, or "recycled greige.") I've always loved their form, too.
