23/52 for the group T189ers Photo-a-week

This week's theme: Fabulous fabrics.

I thought of trying to say this was a fabric in the sense of "The art of constructing: texture: anything framed by art and labour: a building." But it's a bit tenuous, so I'll just say that my photo for this week is off-topic. :)

Anyway, this isn't just any old wall, it's getting on for 2000 years old and it's Roman. It runs along beside the Roman Amphitheatre in Caerleon.

Hmph, I would call a wall part of the architectural fabric of a town, but I'm no expert. Anyway - I recognise that wall! :)

It is a valid alternative for the meaning of the word "fabric", though I'm not sure that it's "fabulous".

But as it would look totally out of place in the thread with lots of lovely colourful wearable fabrics, I've put it into the group's "I have taken a photo and it's off-topic" thread instead. :)
