Signs of ageing...
I am so tired! As G was away, I decided that I would finally catch up with some of the TV that I had recorded. I therefore foolishly stayed up until 1.00am for two nights running binge watching "Misfits".

And now I can hardly keep my eyes open. I am too old for late nights these days. :(

Anyway, I have done enough for today. I have finished critting the little scenes my students wrote and now I can move on to marking assignments tomorrow. I have also shopped for food and retrieved G from the station. I must go and cook dinner before I fall asleep at the computer and then I can stop for the rest of the day.

The weather forecast says it shouldn't be as wet tomorrow, so I hope to start attacking the back garden and/or going for a walk or cycle ride.

Current Mood: accomplished accomplished

I know how you feel! Sometimes there's a good film on late at night and I can't even stay awake on a night when I don't have work the next day! ;0/

I don't actually have to go out to work, but I do have to get up and work, so I can't just sleep in the next day.

I think it's going to take a few more nights of normal sleep to catch up again. :(

And don't a lot of people assume that if one doesn't 'go out to work' then one doesn't really work at all?

Which can mean random intrusions, & a complete inability to grasp the meaning of the words, 'I'm busy; I'm working.'

I'm impressed. One o'clock! Respect!

I fool myself into believing a couple of hours extra on the couch, watching a movie is relaxing. In fact, it's the opposite. It interferes with my biological clock which wakes me at six in the morning.

One late night means three early ones to recover. It used to be one...

(Do you think we ought to offer East Anglia some of our rain?)

It would certainly be a friendly gesture to offer them some rain. I mean, we have more than we can possibly use.

The forecast suggests that tomorrow will be the best day for outdoor activities, then there'll be more rain. :(
