Old train in Swanage station
29/52 for the group T189ers Photo-a-week

This week's theme: Green

Of course the week the theme was green, I was in London! We did, however, do a day trip to Swanage and so this green engine on the green painted station with the green trees in the background will have to suffice.

Great colours. I've got to catch up with my 52 Project too!

This week's themes are not easy, especially given the horrible grey weather, but I need to take something because the week is almost over.

That's very beautiful station!

It is, isn't it? I'm glad they've got the line working again, even if it is only a tourist railway run by volunteers.

I really like this shot. It has wonderful lines and perspective. And, green!

Hmm. That's Daisy the Diesel Railcar from Thomas and Friends! Although Daisy's roof is green. And, as Liem points out, Daisy has a light on her roof instead of underneath, because there had to be room for her face.

Liem is probably spot on! That engine is likely to be the right age to be the prototype for Daisy the Diesel Railcar. :)

If I hadn't had the Heavy Bag of Rocks, I would have walked down the platfrom to see if there were any steam locomotives hidden away in a siding, but it would have looked a bit odd to be seen dragging a rucksack down the platform and I couldn't leave it for fear of triggering a security alert and getting the rock specimens blown up in a controlled explosion!

On the other hand, it's not often you can innocently answer "Rocks" when someone asks you what's in such heavy bag.

I was half hoping someone would offer to lift it up onto the seat for me or something, and then when they said in a jocular manner, "My, this is heavy! What have you got in here, rocks?" I could just smile sweetly and say, "Yes."
