Abstract, a photo by Helen in Wales on Flickr.

41/52 for the group 52 in Twenty Eleven

This week's theme: Abstract

This was created from a photo of a rock outcrop taken last Sunday and a photo of the inside of my washing machine taken on Tuesday.

I just blended the two photos as layers in PhotoShop to create what I hope is an appealing abstract image.

Nicely done! If you hadn't told me "Washing Machine", I wouldn't have figured it out. :o)

Thanks. I'm about to post an unedited version as my photo-a-week for the other group. This one might be more obvious as Washing Machine. :)

Not knowing was what made it more mysterious; more Steam Punk-ish! :o)

Thanks. I'm not very confident with abstracts, but I thought it had a certain sciencefictional air to it and I tried to bring that out in the processing.

It's definitely appealing. I like the moonlike portion at the center--but mostly, I like the overall effect.

Thanks. I'm not very confident with abstracts, but I thought it had a certain sciencefictional air to it with that moon-like blob and I tried to bring that out in the processing.

I was going to say something else & read castiron's comment.
Yes, cool.

Thanks. I'm not very confident with abstracts, so I'm glad it seems to have worked.

Be Confident! Don't tell the world; do you think Jackson Pollock said that about his accidental paint spills that lead to all that "abstract art"? :o)
