Amser paned / Cuppa time

42/52 for the group T189ers in 2011

This week's theme: Tell a story in three pictures.

This sequence depicts what we call in Welsh "amser paned" or in British English "cuppa time".

In other words, time for a hot beverage, usually tea. :)

By the time I'd faffed around taking all the photos, I needed that cuppa, I can tell you!

Nice sequence. Classic story, always popular. ;)

Thanks. I always have to fight my tendency to make things to complicated, but I managed to keep this one simple. :)

Mmm. Excellent idea! I think it's amser paned for me now. Although I'll be having a honey drink instead of tea...

A "paned" can be any drink. It's a shortened form of "cwpanned", or cupful. There is a similar word of "glassed" (for some reason, the double-s is pronounced "sh"), which means glassful.

Interesting, thanks! BTW, when I googled just now, your flickr site was link no. 2 (and 3) for "amser paned". So, you're just one step away from being the face of amser paned...
