For those who can't manage NaNoWriMo

I may still do an unofficial half-NaNo -- I've tried the full NaNo before and it's just too much -- but I'm pleased to say that the LiveJournal community novel_in_90 is starting a new round on 1 November.

From the profile page:

The purpose of this community is to help the members complete a novel-length manuscript in a reasonable time, under real-life conditions. It doesn't matter if you work on a project you've already started. It doesn't matter if you start something new.

The goal is, every day for 90 days, you write three manuscript pages of your work in progress. 750 words. A reasonable rate of progress for a professional writer.

I've done it a couple of times before and I can usually do 750 words per day and keep up with everything else in my life. The community had dwindled away to silence recently, but there are now enough interested people to start a brand new round of 90 days.

If you fancy joining us, you are very welcome.

[LiveJournal is occasionally a bit wobbly so this was posted to Dreamwidth http://heleninwales.dreamwidth.org/15458.html and then crossposted to LJ. If you want to leave a comment, please use whichever site you find most convenient. Comments so far: comment count unavailable.]
