Once more with pictures -- Day 8 final location UN cemetery

Just a couple of photos of the UN Memorial Cemetary. This is beautifully laid out and it is where thousands of UN troops, from 16 different countries, who died in the Korean war (1950-1953) are buried.

This, I think, is the British section. Each country had a memorial and, according to the information in the Memorabilia Hall, the British memorial is a lion.

I couldn't get closer because you weren't allowed to walk on the grass. For some reason, the lion statue made me think of Aslan. I'd never previously linked the fact that Aslan is a lion with the British heraldic animal before.
