Moment of enchantment -- Day 18
I thought I might not experience any moments of enchantment because I was going to be out and about all day with a Welsh class in the morning and then a visit to see my Dad in the afternoon. But as I emerged from the village hall at the end of the morning session, I stood in the chill shadow of the trees and the building, but right before my eyes, beyond the gravestones in the nearby churchyard, there were the sun-splashed hills and fields of Clwyd.

Where I live, green comes in quilt-sized packages when people water their lawns. We do get a short period of beautiful green if we get rain. Those stupid palm trees give no shade, and make messes.

I guess it's a case of longing for where one isn't. But I would love to be able to live in a place where you can take walks like the above picture without having to drive two hours to get out of the city in order to do it.

Very nice, and the clouds make me remember that sometimes, clouds are so unique, beautiful and inspiring.

Some of my favorites are those that are full of rain (steel or "dirty" grey in color), and are mixed with layers of the white ones, both of which are dispersed upon the blue of the background sky...

I always think Clwyd is hugely underrated in terms of its beauty.
