38/52 for the group 52 of 2012

This week's theme was: Street photography

After waiting all week for good weather at a time when I was free to take photos, I gave up and took these in the rain this morning. I chickened out of using the DSLR and instead used the phone which I find people tend to ignore and just think I'm reading a text or something. :)

Thanks. I took about 6 shots. Some were blurred, but of the 3 that came out OK, this was my favourite.

That's the side of the HSBC bank. Before it got taken over by HSBC (Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation), it used to be the Midland Bank and there was a distinctive look to all their branches, regardless of which town you were in.

That's a really nice shot -- very atmospheric. (Heck of a camera, your cell phone has.)

The camera is OK as long as you keep it within its comfort zone, about as good as my little point and shoot in fact. However, unlike the point and shoot, it doesn't have a zoom, macro setting or flash. But as long as you work within its limits, it's not a bad little camera and very discreet. :)
