Stop for a moment and look
The day was almost, but not quite, warm, so I went for a wander down beyond our back garden to see what was stirring in the swampy woodland.

I spotted this unusual ivy. There is lots of ivy all over the place, but usually it's plain dark green. I don't know whether this is some random mutation or whether a disease is affecting it. Either way, it makes for an attractive plant.

Great pic. Lovely leaves. Can't be sure but I fancy I've seen ivy like that before - no idea where as my own is dark green.

There is a lot of ivy around the garden and we have to keep pulling it down off the house wall, or it would climb everywhere, but I've only ever noticed plain dark green before. I have no idea why this particular one is different. The other ivy plants around it were just green.

I have no idea why this particular one is different. The other ivy plants around it were just green, but I thought it was rather pretty.

I've seen ivy leaves like that. I think cariadwen has the answer.
