Stop for a moment and look
The weather has finally relented. Today was almost warm and it really felt and smelled like spring.

So here are the obligatory spring lamb photos taken on this afternoon's walk.

Ewe & lamb

If this were a video, you would see the lamb's tail wriggling furiously as it suckles.

They soon get big enough to form gangs, whereupon they have great fun galloping and leaping around the field.

Group of lambs

A Welsh ewe with twin lambs eyes me suspicously as I take her photo. Her lambs continue feeding, totally oblivious.

There is still snow on Cadair, so the mountain looked almost Alpine in the sunshine.

Oh, the lambs!

The weather remains bitterly cold here & the sun deceiving. It didn't relent (& then only a little) until well into the afternoon.

Yesterday, around 8.50am as I drove to the hall & the Lunar market, I had to avoid several small, naughty lambs wandering along the lane. And as I approached the hall, I saw a still, small body by the side of the road. Either run over or injured & frozen to death.

It's as sad as it's uplifting. :(
