19/52 for the group T189ers alphabet challenge

The set theme was: J is for Just handy.

The idea was to take a photo with whatever was handiest, in this case my mobile phone. Also the photo had to be straight from camera with no Photoshop tweaking.

I don't usually take my DSLR when I walk my friend's dog. Partly because it's heavy and partly because I can't take serious photos when I'm concentrating on what Brith is doing. I do always have my phone with me, however, so I took the opportunity on this gorgeous May day to grab a photo of the leafless tree against a cloudless sky.

It looks for a likely place for Scarecrow of Romney Marsh to pop out, if you remember that old Disney series.

Beautiful country road. But I find these lovely roads are dangerous because they have very small verges or none where the pedestrian can jump if some fool comes charging along. I don't know how you do it taking care of a dog.

Fortunately, I can usually hear a car coming, so we can squeeze onto the tiny verge. The other day, however, there was no verge and it wasn't a car, it was a big tanker, so we had to run down the road to where there was a gateway.

I did used to get worried when I used to ride my horse along these lanes though. a person and a dog can squeeze into a hedge and I can hold Brith and keep him safe, but sometimes there was just nowhere to go with a horse. This was one of the reasons I gave up riding. That and the fact that I lost my nerve generally because older people don't bounce as well as young ones!

Take a look at this - the first of Jenny's pictures.

The composition is virtually the same!

The road goes ever on and on ... :)

Lovely colours, very impressed by quality off a phone.
