45/52 for the group 52 in 2013

This week's theme was: Landscape

The weather is mostly horrible at the moment, typical of November. It's cold and dreary, with occasional torrential downpours and also occasional glimpses of sunlight.

When the sun does break through, the trees look absolutely splendid in russet and gold.

I was lucky to get my walk in with Brith yesterday, but it was just cold and damp first thing and only started raining when we were on our way back. So we didn't get too wet and Brith doesn't mind being towelled dry.

In other news, I have sorted out the yarn for a new corner-to-corner blanket. I've done a few small blankets for other people but this one will be mine, all mine! :)

We've got a wet day today here too, although it's a relief to actually get some rain. We've just been out for swimming, then sushi, and then we'll huddle inside all day with the oven on...

That is the only good thing about winter; it encourage the making of hearty soups and roast dinners.

I'm mildly surprised that it's cold enough where you are to be ovening things. Not something you normally want to do in what is, after all, your summer, is it?

Yes, we've had a bit of a cold snap this weekend, and we should get rain for the next three days, but soon having the oven on will be the last thing on our mind - except then it will be just in time for Christmas...
