Tiny planet in autumn, a photo by Helen in Wales on Flickr.

49/52 for the group T189 alphabet challenge

The set theme was: Y is for Your favourite technique

These little planets made out of landscapes are great fun. I'll say that this is a repeat of U is for Unreal because this definitely is! :) As this was a purely photo-manipulation challenge, I hope it's OK that the original photo was taken a few weeks ago. The weather hasn't really been conducive to taking landscapes recently.

I love that! It reminds me of those blown-glass paperweights that look like tiny planets. I always enjoy wondering what life would be like there.

Thanks. I really like doing them. Here is a seaside planet I did last year.

Wow! I love it. I love all of them on that page, in fact.

It does look very cool! Was it just from one photo?

Yes it was. Here is a thread on Flickr which explains how to do them and includes the originals of two photos used to make planets.

I love doing them! Here is a thread on Flickr which explains how to create planets and includes the originals of two photos used to make planets, so you can see what they started out as.
