Walking to Mordor -- Isengard to Minas Tirith

Long time readers of this LiveJournal may remember that several years ago I set out to walk to Mordor. Not that you can really walk to Mordor of course, but using this website, you can walk outdoors or on a treadmill (you are also allowed to cycle or use other human powered modes of transport) and by logging your miles, you can work out how far along the routes described in The Lord of the Rings you would be.

I had more or less forgotten about this project. It's been on hiaitus for two years, due to Life getting in the way, but as I'm trying to be more active and I'm getting my life better organised I thought I would resurrect this project. Miles travelled since last update: 8
Miles travelled so far: 176½ (1840½ from Bag End)
Miles still to go: 401½

Percentage complete: 31%

Point reached on journey:We have reached a small stream tumbling down from the peak. Following the valley east, pines begin to appear.

Where I really went...
