Sweater in Sirdar Montana
5/52 for the group 2015 Weekly Alphabet Challenge

This week's theme was: E is for Even (which I hope these rows of knitting are!)

I have knitted a few scarves and hats in recent years but only ever once in my life have I finished a sweater.

I actually bought this yarn to crochet a hooded sleeveless cardigan in Tunisian crochet, but then decided that that would be too ambitious and I needed more practice at making smaller things in Tunisian crochet first. As I do need more sweaters, I decided to see if I could actually knit one.

So far, it's looking good!

Yes, it's very even. Nice colourway, too.

Thanks. I liked is so much I've bought another pack of the same yarn in a different colour. I just wish it would grow a bit faster! At this rate, it will be May before it's finished.

As always, you have a wonderful sense of color.

I've used Montana a lot.
I like the variegated colours.
You're making me want to knit again... ;)

I have patterns for sweaters and the yarn to go with one or two, but no crafting has been committed around here for quite some time. Plus, while I'm moderately comfortable with crochet, I don't feel comfortable with knitting. Someday, when there is more time for such things (will that day ever come?) and I have an established knitting mentor, I hope to be able to get my knitting skills to the point where I feel comfortable actually tackling something more complicated than a scarf.

I made a baby blanket using that same wool. I wasn't keen on it myself but quite a lot of other people liked it.
