Walking to Mordor -- Isengard to Minas Tirith

Miles travelled since last update: 43 (2½ of them this morning)
Miles travelled so far: 387½ (2051½ from Bag End)
Miles still to go: 190½

Percentage complete: 67%

Point reached on journey: If it were clear, we would see in the distance across the plain the East Wall of Rohan and the Western Emyn Muil. After crossing the Mering Stream and entering the heart of the Firien Wood, the snowcapped peak above Calenhad rises to the right.

Where I really went...

There were some snow capped peaks in the distance, but they were the Berwyn's not Calenhad. :) And the "plain" I crossed is the only flat bit for miles around and is the town's football and rugby fields by the river.

The Marian

The purpose of my walk was to go and visit M & B. Even though I no longer walk their dog, I still walk up each week to visit them. I have a cup of tea and a chat and we all finish the crossword together.

Then this afternoon I had a productive trip into town, shopped for food in the Co-op and did various bits and pieces, such as buying new socks for me and new underpants for G. Gosh! What an exciting life I lead! :)
