Gorsedd Circle and playing fields

23/52

This was taken the day after we had had a day of torrential rain, the same day I had to climb the crash barriers to get to work due to the underpass being flooded. Though the playing fields didn't flood, they look decidedly squishy. The mistiness over the playing fields must be due to all the water evaporating.

Gorsedd Circle

NB: Remember that the "stone circle" is modern, having been erected in 1949 when the National Eisteddfod was held in the town. Each Eisteddfod has one built and it is used in the prize giving ceremony.
