I did, however, make scones. Someone in my favourite Habit guild mentioned making scones, which reminded me that I haven't made any for ages. Hers were cinnamon chip/chocolate chip w/pumpkin pie spice, which sounds interesting but not very British. :) Mine were just ordinary sultana scones, like these that I made a while ago.
So I made some scones while G went out for one of his epic 24 miles walks, and then I just sort of read the Internet in a vague and unfocused way. I have done a couple of other bits and pieces and had a think about how I can improve my Habit Dailies to make them more motivating. I'm wondering whether to really cut down on Dailies at the weekend and leave Saturday and Sunday more open to either just relaxing or tackling things on the To-Do list that get ignored because of focusing on getting Dailies done.
I'm just thinking aloud here really, but I need to find the right day job/household tasks/self-care balance. Since reaching the end of the teaching year, my workload has shifted from day job to household tasks, I no longer have all the external deadlines and hence my motivation tends to drop and I fall into "I'll do it tomorrow" thinking which can lead to a downward spiral of sloth and mild depression.
