Not raining

Well, the rain which was forecast didn't arrive, which is nice, but the threat of rain was useful because it made me hurry to get the laundry dried on the line and the front grass mowed before 3.30 pm. Due to spending almost 2 hours mowing (there's rather a lot of grass at the front of our house), I'll have to ignore the dust and cobwebs for a bit longer, but I'm gradually getting back on track with routine tasks after all the days spent stuck on the computer working on G's book.

Writing news: The real news is that the novel is starting to trundle forwards again. I had been resisting starting (yet again) from the beginning, but trying to jump start it and just write the final chapters wasn't working, so I'm doing a re-read and very light edit from the beginning onwards. The plan is to have a completed first draft by the end of this year. So far it still looks possible.
