Why is there always one?

Whenever I've seen an online discussion about the cuteness of rabbits, guinea pigs, or even horses, there's always one person who has to post about how he (always a he in my experience) has eaten them and found them delicious. I've never seen anyone do it in a thread about people's pet dogs, even though (sadly) they are eaten in some countries. So why do some people feel obliged to talk about eating animals that many people feel are part of their family?

This post was the result of this discussion spotted today on Facebook.

Why is there always one?

By the way, I think some of my readers will appreciate the guinea pigs' names. :)
