Competition details

In case any of you out there are interested, here's the link for the Asham Award. Closing date for the current competition is 31 January 05.

You have to be female to enter, but it doesn't matter where you live.

The Award is open to women writers who have not yet had a novel or a collection of short stories published.

Stories must not exceed 4,000 words in length and can be on any subject. The winners will be announced in May 2005 and their stories will be published in a collection by Bloomsbury in 2006.

I suspect that I'm way out of my league even thinking of entering this, but we'll just have to see.
