Bloody referendum - Helen's journal and online home
In which an old dog attempts to learn new tricks.
Bloody referendum
Sigh... I must stop ranting about the referendum on Facebook. I've had to put myself in Habitica's inn again because most of my daily tasks didn't get done. :(

However, I did scrub down another wall of G's study to make it ready for repainting and I processed some more photos and posted them to Flickr and here on LiveJournal.

Current Mood: pissed off peeved

I am really curious to see what will be happening in with th result of the UK referendum. I don't see that UK will really quit the EU.
I hope not.

Some days I feel hopeful, today reading the BBC site, I am more sad. Not that there's anything I can do, so I just have to wait and see. :(

We Irish are very sorry about the whole mess :(

At least one of my grandchildren has dual nationality due to our son-in-law being Irish. He was teasing our daughter, saying that while he and Erin waltzed through the EU citizen's channel, she'll have to queue with all the non-EU citizens for the extra security and passport checks.

I don't know why Cameron is so adamant that such a slim majority has to be binding when it was supposed to just be advisory and parliament itself has to put the process in motion. He's sounding like a 13-year-old girl having a strop and saying, "Well, in that case, we'll leave then! See if I care!" even though he knows it will be a disaster.

The only thing is, if he goes back on the referendum, advisory or not, I honestly think there would be riots now. Really sorry to say that, but I think it's the truth.
