I don't recall any references to chocolate eggs in the Bible
If Theresa May thinks that hunting for chocolate eggs in the grounds of a stately home is an ancient Christian tradition, then I suggest she re-reads her Bible or talks to any vicar. Also, Archbishops should be careful when making statements about different Christian denominations. Quakers don't make a big thing of Easter because they don't believe one day is any more holy than another, so Dr Sentamu was way out of order when he said that referring to the event as the Cadbury Egg Hunt was like "spitting on the grave" of Cadbury's Quaker founder, John Cadbury.

Chocolate comes from the New World, which is much newer than the New Testament . . .

There are plenty of worthwhile fights the church could be getting into. This isn't one of them. This one is just silly.

An egg fight! What could be more traditional at Easter?

As poliphilo says, this is just silly.
