Yes, from much personal experience, getting lost and having to scramble over fences and through bogs is always so much more tiring than following a clear path...

Worth it for the scenery though - so beautiful!

It would have been easier without the sprained wrist. It is healing but it will be a few weeks yet before I can use it properly. Thus where I would normally have scrambled on hands and knees up the very steep bits, I had to do a kind of commando crawl using my elbows. Thankfully there was no one other than my husband around to witness this strange behaviour.
